In 1997, Sandra and I opened our home to establish Amethyst Board and Care for the Elderly . We had many years of enjoyment working in my aunt’s six-bed facility, that is why we decided to open our own assisted living facility.
Since opening Amethyst Board & Care we have experienced many great memories, met many wonderful people, and have established friendships with the families of our residents.
Our residents here at Amethyst enjoy the small home setting, and the closeness they feel with one another.
We are proud to say that “our home” becomes our residents home. Our residents become our “extended family”. By caring for only six residents, we are able to provide more one on one care, love, and supervision.
